Alejandro M. Mainetto is a Director of Application Development and Support responsible for the corporate and enterprise areas of the The Walt Disney Company. His group is responsible for architecture, design, development, implementation and sustainment of corporate and enterprise business systems, representing a portfolio of several hundred applications. He currently leads the overall organizational realignment and transformation of the group in order to deliver increased customer service levels, better alignment of IT with the business, produce new technology capabilities, and world-class solution delivery and operational excellence services. Mainetto has diverse expertise in Business Strategy, Program and Technology Management and Emerging Technology areas and has cross industry expertise in Media and Entertainment, Theme Parks & Resorts, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Energy, Public Sector and Government.
Mainetto first joined Disney in 2002 working for Walt Disney World. He served as Manager, IT responsible for the Theme Park and Resorts Intranet portal application development team supporting over 90,000 users across the segment including major business units such as Disneyland, Walt Disney Imagineering and ESPN. Led Intranet Portal Team in building hundreds of modules and applications, including mission critical Labor and HR systems.
Mainetto joined Disney from Iconixx, where he was a senior engagement manager with their solution delivery practice. In that position, his responsibilities included engagement management and business development efforts within the financial services and energy industry for diverse clients where he led delivery of complex corporate security, portal and content management solutions.
Prior to Iconixx, Mainetto held management positions at major consulting companies and Fortune 500 firms such as IBM Global Services, Proxicom, Verizon Communications, and Con Edison. At IBM Global Services, he managed multi-million dollar e-business initiatives and supported business development efforts across multiple industries, specializing in the government, telecom and media industries.
Mainetto received his M.S. in Management of Technology from Polytechnic University in 1998, and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic University.
