Alfonso Ruiz is a Senior Manager of the IT Marketing in the Information Technology Organization. He joined Chrysler in 1981 as a Telecommunication and technical support Manager in Mexico City.

 

Since 2003, Alfonso has been responsible for IT strategy and development of IT applications for Global Marketing within the Chrysler Group. He leads a team of IT Business Consultants, Project Managers, and Developers in the ideation, development, and implementation of IT applications for Chrysler Group Global Marketing.

 

He consults with marketing business partners on business processes, strategies and challenges. Assesses industry marketing IT best practices, competitive marketing IT landscape, and IT technology trends. Advises marketing business partners on IT solutions which address marketing needs. Develops IT strategy and roadmap to address Marketing business goals and challenges. Leads and manages IT team and external IT vendors, consultants, fixed bid, and supplemental contractors in the delivery of Marketing IT solutions

 

He meets with his Marketing Business Partners - all levels of management (up to Senior VP) - to consult, access, and advise on IT strategies and application solutions which address Marketing business strategies, challenges and priorities.

 

Thorough understanding of the Marketing organization, business processes, strategies, challenges, and priorities, thorough understanding of existing IT marketing applications, competitive IT marketing landscape, existing and emerging IT Marketing technologies. Proven ability to interact successfully with all levels of marketing business partner management as an IT Business Consultant and IT strategist.

 

He knew that by moving to Corporate IT his opportunity for growth and development was much greater than in Mexico. During the merger with Daimler Benz, he joined the team effort for a Global network solution for Daimler Chrysler in Europe, Asia Pacific and South America. He was Traveling all over the world implementing network solutions.

 

In 1998 he became the Corporate Telecommunications Sr Manager responsible for the NAFTA region, including LAN infrastructure for corporate offices such as the Detroit HQ Chrysler Technology Center (CTC) and the Jeep Truck Engineering Complex (JTE), sale offices depots and Mopar parts facilities. In addition, he was responsible for the U.S. network connection for Assembly and Manufacturing facilities, including the Mexico and South America networks.
