David Campana

Chief Architect and CTO

NYC Department of Finance

 

David Campana is a seasoned 15 year professional specializing in Technology Strategy, Application Architecture, Development and Implementation. As the Chief Architect and CTO at New York City Department of Finance, he is responsible for the systems and technology which collects over $20 billion in revenue, or 1/3 of the New York City's fiscal budget. His responsibilities include developing and implementing enterprise architecture, policies, standards and technology. As a Chief Technical Architect at MetLife, he was responsible for the technology and systems that managed global assets valued over $360 billion. As Applications/Acquisitions Manager at Gartner, he led the technology merger and acquisition activity for the organization which included the $85 million acquisition of TechRepublic in 1999.

 

Campana has designed and implemented global solutions for pharmaceutical, research, banking and insurance. Campana's more recent expertise comes from specific portal and content management implementations for Fortune 500 companies and government. Campana currently holds an MBA degree from Columbia University School of Business with a concentration on Strategic Management and a BS Degree from Polytechnic University in Mathematics.
