Romulus, MI-Nearly 100 guests came out on July 28, 2007 to the Crowne Plaza Hotel to participate in a business networking session chaired and hosted by HITEC President and Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business Board Member, David Olivencia and Notre Dame's John Cardinal O'Hara Society.

The event featured Tom Mendoza, President of Network Appliance (NASDAQ: NTAP) and Benefactor of the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business. Mendoza delighted the crowd with a keynote speech themed "Corporate Culture and Success" and took questions from the audience afterwards.

"I was absolutely honored to introduce Tom Mendoza at this event," said HITEC President David Olivencia. "He is truly one of the top leaders in the global technology industry.

"I've had the opportunity to listen to Tom through his speeches at Notre Dame and at various technology conferences. From Tom, I have learned a lot about leadership, goals, attitude, rewarding what people do right, and much more. I am glad that he was able to share these lessons with those who were in attendance," Olivencia added.

David Segura, HITEC vice chairman and CEO of VisionIT, also participated in the event and said of Mendoza, "Tom's words reinforced many important principles of VisionIT including having the right attitude and setting measurable goals that are aligned with a specific time frame.

"It is clear why Network Appliance has been an industry leader and Tom's passion was felt by everyone who attended," Segura added.
