1-8-07: ITSMF Chairman Curvie Burton joins HITEC Advisory Board

DETROIT-Adding to its building momentum, the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) today announced the addition of Curvie L. Burton, chairperson of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) and Senior Director US Business Operations at EDS, to its advisory board.

Burton is a founding member and has served on the ITSMF Board of Directors for 10 years. "We are honored to have the knowledge and experience of Curvie represented on our advisory board," said Francisco DeArmas, chair of HITEC and SIO Global Applications and Architecture, GMAC. "A natural synergy exists between the ITSMF and HITEC because of our similar mission and objectives, and having Curvie's insight helping to guide our efforts will prove invaluable."

HITEC was founded in November 2006 by senior Hispanic IT executives who have built successful careers in information technology and collectively shared a strong desire to make an impact within the Hispanic community by helping others reach the highest levels within information technology.

HITEC will provide these executives with professional development and networking opportunities to help them become future leaders within the IT industry. HITEC will also serve in a strong advisory role for large organizations in helping to identify the most promising and savvy diverse talent within information technology.
