03-04-08: HITEC Announces The Walt Disney Company as a Founding Sponsor
LOS ANGELES – The Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) proudly announced media giant The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) as one of its founding sponsors, adding to the tremendous support and partnerships the budding organization has built over the past year.
"We are honored and excited to have Disney as a founding sponsor for HITEC," said Alejandro Mainetto, HITEC President. "Disney has a long-standing reputation for their commitment to diversity and their sponsorship of our organization serves as strong evidence of that commitment."
Mainetto had the opportunity to meet with diversity leadership of Disney in the early stages of solidifying its sponsorship and had wonderful things to say about them.
"I've had the great opportunity to meet with Disney's Director Multicultural Programs, Efrain Fuentes and VP Diversity, Jeffrey Thompson and can say they have tremendous passion for diversity and great efforts underway to continue to increase it across Disney." said Mainetto.
