Invitation Letter
HITEC Members and Guests,
I am truly excited about our upcoming HITEC quarterly event to be held in Atlanta, Georgia titled “Hispanic Leadership Success”, October 10th and 11th, 2008.
Our community has had tremendous success and we have much to celebrate! Additionally, HITEC has continued to grow through membership expansion and significant support from our sponsors. This is also an historical time as the National Hispanic MBA’s will be conducting their national conference in Atlanta; making it the largest Hispanic conference in Atlanta’s history. HITEC will have access to some of the exclusive NSHBMA events; providing further networking opportunities with senior executives at other major corporations. HITEC will also be announcing at the conference the official HITEC 100; the first time in the IT industry a list of the top Hispanic IT Executives has ever been compiled.
Our host for the HITEC Atlanta event is VisionIT; one of HITEC’s founding sponsors and recognized as one of the largest Hispanic-owned IT firms in the U.S.; and fastest growing privately held companies by Inc Magazine.
Our event will feature dynamic speakers from across the country. We will be celebrating the achievements of Hispanic leaders’ success and learning about their best practices, including:
- Henry Hernandez, one of the original founders of the National Hispanic MBA’s and his story of creating one of the top Hispanic business organizations in the U.S.
- Ricardo Bartra, newly named CIO of Carestream Health’s Dental Systems Carestream Health is a global company with over 8,000 employees and was originally the Health Group of Eastman Kodak Company until 2007 when it was acquired and began to operate as Carestream Health
- David Segura, CEO of VisionIT, and how he built VisionIT from a one person startup to over 1,500 IT professionals supporting Fortune 500 corporations and government agencies U.S. wide. David is also the finalist for this year’s Hispanic Entrepreneur of the Year from Hispanic Business Magazine which will be awarded in November 2008
- Carmen Ortiz McGhee, President of the Marathon Club, and how her organization is helping create future Hispanic success stories by helping business leaders access the capital markets
- Senior Executive from Accenture
- Ed Merino, CEO, Chairman of the Board, Topic: National Association of Corporate Directors and Director Roadmap
Attached you will find the full agenda. Please register by providing your contact information and identifying which sessions or days you plan on attending; and whether or not you will join us at our golf outing by emailing events@hitecglobal.org.
