VisionIT's CEO and HITEC Vice-Chair, David H. Segura was featured on the official blog for the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Executive Office of the President, highlighting how America's diverse cultural resources are enhancing trade relations and economic growth.
Segura was appointed to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations by President Obama in 2010, the Advisory Committee is tasked with providing policy advice on trade matters, and is made up of members who broadly represent key sectors and groups of the economy.
HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council) was founded by senior Hispanic IT executives who have built outstanding careers in information technology but realized that there were far too few Hispanics in the IT leadership role. With a strong desire and passion to make an impact within the Hispanic IT community by helping others reach the highest levels, HITEC was formed in late 2006.
