HITEC Announces New President and New Executive Board
The Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) has formally announced the new HITEC Executive Board led by Andre Arbelaez, the newly elected President representing the leadership of the organization.
Andre Arbelaez is the Director of Business Development and Partner Management in North America for T-Systems, the business information technology division of Deutsche Telekom. Arbelaez, a board member since the beginning of HITEC in 2006, will focus on the growth, membership and marketing of the organization as the premier global executive organization in information technology.
Alex Mainetto, VP and CTO of Kaplan University has been elected as Executive Board member and will be working closely with Arbelaez on the executive team.
Current Chair, J. Alberto Yepez, Managing Director of Trident Capital and Vice-Chair, David H. Segura, CEO of VisionIT will continue in their positions, providing support and guidance for the organization.
"We would like to thank David Olivencia, Immediate Past President of HITEC for all of his work, effort and leadership with HITEC 1.0,” said Arbelaez. "David has left a big footprint with his excellence in leadership and building the organization and has been the center point of all the efforts and endeavors that HITEC has achieved, and we look forward to his guidance in the future on the Board of Directors.”
