Vinicius da Costa is an Information Technology executive with 25+ years of experience in financial services, retail and consumer goods industries. Currently leading the exciting challenge of modernizing technology landscape and enabling critical business of Wealth Management Financial Advisors (FA) at Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust serving our clients. Defining strategy and standards for implementation of contemporary and innovative technology solutions such as Cloud, Microservices, Containers, to improve performance and reliability of FAs desktop and online platforms, CRM, Marketing among others. Accelerating adoption of Agile and SDLC automation and improving efficiency in software delivery.

Broad international exposure leading global and regional organizations during several international assignments. Extensive experience managing through acquisitions and divestitures, completing successful due diligence and integration of Consumer Goods and Retail companies such as Nabisco and Cadbury.

Prior to his current position Vinicius was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America responsible for delivering enterprise technology capabilities for a $30MM project portfolio. A key focus for Vinicius includes the simplification and automation of development practices, as well as creating enterprise capabilities that will reduce time to market and cost.

Vinicius has held key roles at several Fortune 500 companies. He led information technology for international markets and new business development at Lowe’s Home Improvement. At Kraft Foods Vinicius managed the technology infrastructure organization for Latin America including all countries south of the U.S. border and led IT Merger & Acquisitions including the integration of Nabisco, Cadbury, and the separation of Philip Morris. At PepsiCo Frito-Lay, he led the applications team delivering solutions for manufacturing and supply chain functions.

Vinicius has been a strong advocate of diversity & inclusion through his volunteering at Citizen Schools program to enhance education of low income children. He was a board member at ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) Charlotte and a long time member of HITEC (Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council), mentoring and coaching several professionals.

Vinicius holds a bachelor of science in computer science from Mackenzie University, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

He is originally from Brazil, and resides now in Charlotte with his wife and three children. Before settling in Charlotte in 2011, he was previously based in New York, Miami and Chicago.
