In a recent article published by Information Security Media Group, Corp., HITEC Chairman, Alberto Yépez talks about the rebranding of his current venture capital firm, Trident Cybersecurity, as ForgePoint Capital, and why he is bullish on the market and its emerging focus on the intelligence operations center.

About Alberto Yépez
In 2015, Yepez co-founded Trident Capital Cybersecurity, a venture capital fund investing exclusively in cybersecurity companies that's now known as ForgePoint Capital. He joined Trident Capital as a venture partner in 2008 to assist with cybersecurity investments. After the close of Trident Capital Fund 7 in 2010, he was promoted to managing director to continue to build the cybersecurity franchise. He led the investments in Solera Networks, AlienVault, BlueCat Networks and Mocana. In addition, he started working with Trident's Cybersecurity portfolio companies and joined the boards of Mojo Networks, HyTrust, Neohapsis (acquired by Cisco) and Qualys.
