Brad Wright has been in the software business for over 30 years, 26 at Microsoft. He’s worked on projects for server based platforms, client apps, games, online properties, tools and real-time client-server systems in fields including oil & gas, banking, e-commerce, entertainment, digital imaging and development.
Initially he was focused on networking which brought him to Microsoft in 1992 working with LAN Manager and Windows NT. He relocated to the Seattle area in 1993 and since then has had a hand in shipping MCIS, Site Server, Windows, Windows Server, Internet Explorer, Commerce Server, Forefront and others. Online properties include the Gaming Zone platform and the design, architecture and deployment of the first incarnation of www.msn.com in July 95.
In 2000 he did a small stint in a startup that went as most go and then returned to Microsoft in 2001 as Product Unit Manager for Commerce Server and then Forefront. In 2009 he joined Microsoft IT to build the platforms & services Microsoft runs its business on. He now leads engineering for all the Finance systems across the company
