Mike Garcia has a diverse background working with Internet firms such as AOL and RealNetworks to providing services to stalwarts such as FAA, Verison, Geico and others. Prior to Capital One Mike was responsible for development and testing technologies, execution of services related to testing, project management, SDLC, release management, and adoption of both agile and DevOps practices and capabilities at Fannie Mae.
While running the global I&O department for RealNetworks, he was responsible for launching carrier-grade products with high SLAs meanwhile balancing the equally complicated task of spinning out major segments of technology into new businesses. He has been the technology leader in two start-ups and has run his own consulting firm, Edge Source LLC successfully since 2009. While at AOL, Garcia made major contributions to host, client and infrastructure technologies and authored software solutions responsible for reducing significant costs to the organization.
Mike Garcia holds a Bachelors in Economics from Strayer University-Maryland and an MBA from Georgetown University - The McDonough School of Business. He is married, and has a seven year old daughter and a four year old son.
