Preparing the next generation
for the board room.

The board readiness program is designed for HITEC’s senior technology executives who are seeking to enhance their understanding of the boardroom and have an interest in positioning themselves as candidates for a corporate board seat. The program will provide insights on emerging trends and leading practices in corporate governance, board oversight of strategy and risk, and other board topics.

Since 2017, HITEC has partnered with KPMG to host the Board Readiness program at HITEC’s Leadership Summits.  In 2021,  the program pivoted to a 10 month virtual program including six sessions for a cohort of 60 executives.

Emerging Executives

We build strong leaders.

About the Program

Since 2014, HITEC has worked to develop the next generation of Hispanic technology leaders through our Emerging Executive Program. To date, 254 fellows have completed the program, advancing their careers and contributing to our growing community. The Emerging Executive Program is the only national program focused on professional development and cultivation of executive talent among the Hispanic technology professionals.

The HITEC Emerging Executive Program is a year-long, cohort-based program that develops emerging and high-potential Hispanic technology leaders looking to become tomorrow’s high level corporate executives. The work of the Emerging Executive Program continues to be central to HITEC’s core mission – to develop future Hispanic technology and business leaders.

A critical enabler of the program's success are our mentors who volunteer their time to HITEC  and share their knowledge and experience with program participants. Mentors (including HITEC Board members) promote a trusting, non-biased mentoring relationship with their fellows.

Along with mentoring, the fellows benefit from:

  • Exposure and interaction with high-level technology executives and business leaders
  • Webinars led by subject matter experts exploring a wide range of topics
  • Guidance on career-related issues, unique to Hispanics in leadership
  • In-depth understanding of how CXOs develop their organizations in terms of core technology competencies and performance metrics
  • Three workshops at each HITEC Summit when possible or virtual event format when needed
  • Development of a network with other rising Hispanic professionals

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
